INDIA RISING: A DISCOURSE

An open house discussion on Indian Political Aspects was held on 8th July 2024 at IIS University, organized by The International Cell in collaboration with The School of Social Science. Student delegates from The Netherlands participated in the discussion alongside students from the Social Science department.
Dr. Archana Gupta started the event by giving a brief overview of Indian politics, covering Indian democracy and highlighting the diversity of India. This briefing was followed by a fun activity where students had to guess pictures shown to them, which included famous political figures and landmarks from both India and the Netherlands. The activity not only energized the room but also helped to break the ice between the local and international students.
The open house discussion was led by Dr. Archana Gupta, Deepshikha Parashar, and Harshita Sharma. The students showed great interest in discussions about the European Union and the challenges of democracy. The event concluded with an exciting tour of the university for the international students. This event marked a fantastic opportunity for cultural exchange between the students and became a valuable learning experience for everyone involved.
