About IIS-TIE

IIS-TIE is the “International Cell” of IIS (deemed to be University) Jaipur (IISU) to facilitate global experience to the students as well as the faculty members by forming strategies, policies and guidelines, providing opportunities, and implementing the action plans through setting up international standards, building international partnerships, arranging scholarships and funds, and enabling different international programmes.

IISU and Global Vision

IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur (India) is among the pioneers in the state of Rajasthan in imparting quality education to women in different streams.  It is known for excellence in delivering value-based education to students and encourages them to think innovatively. It particularly focuses on preparing students to become world-ready citizens, who are equipped to take any professional and social challenges with an educated and empowered mind. 

The University is an exceptionally cosmopolitan and vibrant one based in one of the country’s most exciting and ethnically rich cities - the Pink City (Jaipur) and is placed in the category ‘A’ by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. With over 5000 students, the University offers UG, PG and Doctoral programmes in Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, Management and Computer Science & IT.

IISU vision includes striving and seeking to cater to global educational needs combined with our goal of promoting international understanding and world fellowship through world class education. To accomplish the same, we are open to all kinds of collaborations, by partnering with foreign universities, other academic institutions and research-based institutes.

Motivation

The world is becoming a global village, and the distances do not matter a lot for approaching better opportunities worldwide. The students overseas as well as nationwide are now a days, are open to seek global education to build a worldwide career development. IISU, being a leader in providing quality education from its inception (1995), and celebrating its Silver Jubilee (25th) Year having its vision including global approach towards providing international standards of education, has already been taking admission of foreign students in the past years as well as providing opportunities to its students to visit aboard for international exposure and higher studies.

The presence of a specific cell for managing the international affairs provides a better platform to the foreign as well as local students to find their queries and grievances for various internationalprogrammes offered by IISU through the systematic approach, policies, guidelines, and processes developed by the International Cell i.e. IIS-TIE.

The Ministry of HRD (Govt. of India), UGC, NAAC/NBA/AICTE, and various agencies guidelines also promote the establishment and existence of an International Cell to facilitate the students for global opportunities in a systematic and ease of doing approach.

Vision

IIS-TIE aspires to lead an innovative, collaborative, and globally significant approach to provide an international platform to support all stakeholders in fulfilling their respective contributions towards IISU vision of exposing towards global educational needs and to promote international understanding and fellowship through world class education.

Mission

Through planning and implementing strategies and action plans, expanding & managing all activities pertaining to IISU’s international visibility and reputation, the IIS-TIE acts as the international operating arm contributing to internationalization experience.

Objectives

  1. Analyzing Internationalization aspects & issues and forming strategies and planning accordingly.
  2. Preparing Action Plans for international visibility and reputation of IISU through IIS-TIE
  3. Facilitating foreign students with all adequate infrastructure, quality education environment, adequate lodging & boarding facilities.
  4. Designing & Executing promotional campaigns abroad for attracting foreign students to the existing courses.
  5. Acting as ‘Single Window’ to the foreign as well as the local students for the solutions of all their queries and grievances.
  6. Seeking partnerships (MoUs) with foreign universities and providing opportunities to the stakeholders with regard to the following:
  • Academic Visits of the Group of IISU Students to Foreign Universities 
  • Summer Schools at Foreign Universities
  • Flying Faculty from Foreign Universities to IISU and vice versa
  • Joint Workshops/FDP/Conferences by IISU with Foreign Universities
  • Joint Degree (UG /PG) Programmes (1+1, 2+1, 1+1+1, 3+1, etc.)
  • Research Collaborations (Joint Labs/ Joint Supervisors/ Joint Projects)
  • UG /PG Programmes for International Students 8. Workshops for International Students/Faculty (Yoga, Fine Arts (Indian Classical Music/Painting/Dance), Fashion/Textile, Jewellery Design, Social Sciences, etc.) 9. Cultural Exchange Programmes 10. Education Tourism Programmes
